Condition of Entry

Frenches Farm Livery Limited has taken all reasonable precautions to safeguard the health and safety of everyone present on site. For these measures to be effective, all persons must take reasonable care to prevent accidents and must comply with all instructions issued by the owners, staff or authorised agents, whether written or verbal. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Frenches Farm Livery Limited accepts no liability for loss, damage, injury or accident involving any person, horse or property, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded. It is a condition of entry, attendance and/or hire that each entrant or hirer has read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions. Entrants and hirers are responsible for their own conduct and for ensuring that any persons or animals under their supervision comply with these conditions.

Refunds & Cancellations
  • Frenches Farm Livery Limited will not be responsible for consequential losses arising from the cancellation, postponement or amendment of arena hire bookings, show entries or events.
  • Once an arena hire booking or show entry has been made, withdrawal will normally result in forfeiture of the hire or entry fee.
  • A refund may be considered on production of a valid veterinary or medical certificate, provided reasonable notice is given and the booking or entry can be reallocated.
  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations or withdrawals made within 48 hours of the booked hire time or event.
  • Where a waiting list exists, every reasonable effort will be made to reallocate the place. At the discretion of Frenches Farm Livery Limited, an alternative hire slot or amended show entry may be offered where cancellation or withdrawal is made more than 48 hours in advance.
Arena Hire
  • 1 Riders under four years of age are not permitted.
  • 2 Only suitably qualified instructors are permitted in the arena. Spectators must remain outside the arena at all times.
  • 3 Lunging and free schooling are not permitted in the arena.
  • 4 All equipment brought into or used within the arena must be removed after use.
  • 5 All riders must wear correctly fitted and securely fastened protective headwear that meets current British Showjumping requirements. Accepted UK standards include EN 1384:2023, PAS 015:2011 or VG1, with the appropriate BSI Kitemark or Inspec IC mark.
  • 6 Stallions must be kept under control at all times and must not be handled by anyone under 14 years of age. Stallions must display a WHITE ribbon in the tail.
  • 7 Horses or ponies known to kick must display a RED ribbon in the tail. Young or inexperienced horses or ponies should display a GREEN ribbon in the tail.
  • 8 All droppings must be picked up immediately and placed in the wheelbarrow provided.
  • 9 Horseboxes and trailers must not be mucked out onto the car park.
  • 10 Horses and ponies must not be tied to the side of horseboxes or trailers with haynets.
  • 11 Dogs are permitted at Frenches Farm but must be kept on a lead at all times.
  • 12 Children under 16 years of age must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
  • 13 All rubbish and litter must be removed from site or placed in the bins provided.
  • 14 Jumps must not be moved unless authorised, and poles must not be left lying on the arena surface.
  • 15 The arena and surrounding areas must be left in the same condition in which they were found. Any damage may be charged to the hirer.
  • 16 Smoking is prohibited around the stable blocks and muck heap. Cigarettes and other smoking materials must be extinguished and disposed of responsibly in permitted areas.
  • 17 Failure to comply with these Terms & Conditions may result in future bookings being refused.
Shows
  • 1 Frenches Farm Livery Limited reserves the right to refuse entry to any person, subject to applicable law.
  • 2 Riders under four years of age are not permitted.
  • 3 All riders must wear correctly fitted and securely fastened protective headwear that meets current British Showjumping requirements. Accepted UK standards include EN 1384:2023, PAS 015:2011 or VG1, with the appropriate BSI Kitemark or Inspec IC mark.
  • 4 Stallions must be kept under control at all times and must not be handled by anyone under 14 years of age. Stallions must display a WHITE ribbon in the tail.

  • 6 Horseboxes and trailers must be parked as directed and must not be mucked out onto the car park.
  • 7 Horses and ponies must not be tied to the side of horseboxes or trailers with haynets.
  • 8 Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
  • 9 Children under 16 years of age must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
  • 10 All rubbish and litter must be removed from site or placed in the bins provided.
  • 11 Smoking is permitted only in designated areas and is strictly prohibited around the stable blocks and muck heap.
  • 12 By entering or attending an event, competitors and attendees acknowledge that photography and/or filming may take place. Images may be used by Frenches Farm Livery Limited and event sponsors for print, website and social media purposes, subject to applicable data protection and privacy requirements.
  • 13 Any formal objection must be made to the organisers within 30 minutes of the relevant incident or result and must be accompanied by a £25 deposit. The deposit will be forfeited if the objection is not upheld.
  • 14 Frenches Farm Livery Limited reserves the right to cancel, alter, amend, split or amalgamate any class, or to substitute a judge where necessary. The judge’s decision is final, subject to any applicable governing-body rules.
  • 15 Any person behaving in an abusive, threatening or otherwise inappropriate manner, including the use of offensive language towards another person on the showground, may be disqualified and/or required to leave the premises.
  • 16 Any person found mistreating or abusing a horse or pony may be disqualified and required to leave the showground.
  • 17 Failure to comply with these Terms & Conditions may result in future entries being refused.
